Been on the move quite a lot lately, and been looking into buying a labtop. This is what i've selected so far, if any suggestions or other labtop builds let me know:

I think it's pricy, but its a nice build. Are you sure you want such a big screen? I always hear from people the big screen is nice, but afterwards, they'd rather want smaller, due weight and size of the laptop. Are you also sure you definitely want a laptop, because you can get a big gaming desktop for that money.

Yes, I'm sure I want a laptop and the big screen. I have a even better desktop PC, so that really isn't a concern to me.

    I'll have to agree

though technically they're called "notebooks" now.

aparently some guy put his laptop on his lap fell asleep and when he woke up he found that the computer had gotten hot and burned his penis.

Any man with a reasonably sized penis probably would of at MINIMUM turned over when it started to burn. I bet he wasn't popular with the ladies. :P

If you are willing to spend that much, why not just get a Mac? They are much better computers (and thats not just a fanboy bias) and you dont have nearly as much downtime as you would with all the viruses in windows. Plus macs are sexier by far. There's my $0.02!

    well...
what's to say he can't isntall BSD or linux?

    BAD and linux have
    less downtime than OSX
    are more secure than OSX
    ARE FREE.

and on top of that, he gets a faster more powerful machine for the same cost.

My Laptop (1ghz P3, 256mb RAM, onboard graphics) can run games under Linux that even my friend desktop struggles to (1.8ghz AXP, 512mb RAM, 6200LE) under Vista.
