Anyone have any options other than:

FTP (Not sure how to DL the files when uploaded)
CD (I'll waste too many :()
    USB (USB is broken :()
iPod (Too little space left, not sure if I can backup ALL my files)
P2P (Not sure how to set this up, tried to link both my PC together but won't work :()

Anyone have other options? Or can help me with my current options?

Also - When reformatting, do I just pop in my XP CD and choose reinstall?

It'll ask you if you would like to reformat when you pop the disc in and restart.

You can make a disk image of your main drive.
Or you could get and external hard drive and transfer everything to that.

External Harddrive? but im not sure what it uses most likely a USB port. FTP is easy just upload the stuff and go to your main directory and just click on the link and a pop up menu should be displayed asking you whether to save it or not.

Yeah you could just toss everything onto the second internal drive. And your correct you can't copy games or programs that need to insert stuff into the registry and other parts of the system.

Just make sure when you go to format your computer you choose the correct drive to format. Mark down the drive space and free space because it will show up when you go to reinstall.

not necessarily USB .. i got a internal HDD in a ICYBOX and has a SATA and firewire conenctor that i can use just acts like a internal HDD but external .. lol sounds funny :D

ive got like 4 HDD in mine - 1 HDD into 2 partitions .. i save all my game images/programs/music etc spanning to like 3 HDD whilst the main one is windows with the installed proggys .. you can always reinstall once formatted as long as you have the setups and files

when i format i disconnect all connected drives by pulling out the 4 power molex from them but the main HDD just in case ;) i cannot lose the 500GB+ odd worth of music/games/programs/videos etc lol - just a precaution i take before formatting

DVD - if you dont have much things and want to burn necessary stuff that wont change
    Memory stick - too small
FTP - need alot of bandwidth & space if you got tons of stuff
ipod/mp3 player - if you got a 80GB one then you are sorted but anything less than say 15ish would be quite low if you tend to save new games for example i got Gears Of War on PC and takes 10GB space lol and im like DAYUM!! how did i last one a 3GB PC like years ago :D technology advances too quick .. cant keep up :D
P2P - if you mean like torrents .. tad hard need a tracker etc no point .. ignore this way

best bet - get a external HDD OR get a internal HDD but with a caddy ie ICYBOX and make sure it has a SATA connector then it will act like a normal HDD without loss of speed compared to USB :D if you dont want a caddy just get a internal HDD pop it in PC and there you go :D

i have got a formatting tutorial for XP somewhere around GR - found it http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/index.php...9&hl=format - make sure set Boot Device Priority to CD

    hope it helps :D
