    i think its not justified to pay the extra $$ for sIPS panel.. then new TN panels can give almost the same performance at a really low cost.

    go for either a dell or viewsonic.

    I personally have a 22" samsung sync master, ------ing awesome so far. my second choice would have been an acer.

    19": Samsung SyncMaster 971P, 1280x1024 (5:4)

    little more than 250 but it is a great monitor for photo editing (high contrast, accurate color/gamma curve, sRGB gamut)
