Started on paint then paint shop --- and then PS. I used to make crappy banners for forums and stuff lol and then I realised Paint was crap so tried psp which was also crap and then PS was perfect.
I needed something to eat up all the spare time I had.. seriously I had a lot of it :| Then after that I was on again off again, and now I just pretty much browse the Spam Heaven forum and hang out on IRC lol
Love art, saw this as an opportunity to get into it and get some CnC because my scanner never worked right..oh that scanner..we had some good times
Well, was part of a forum, saw the awsome sigs. This was years ago. The I asked how they made them. Got CS2, and I went at it, now four years later, I'm going off to college for graphic design.
It just grew on me. I started on a program called paint shop and I was in love with it upgraded myself to The Adobe stuff though
yeah like a lot of others have said, I visited a forum and saw the sigs. For me though, it was a computer help forum. I then followed links on their site to GIMP, and I searched and found GIMPtalk and from there I learned about this place and NSL and such. GIMP FTW
i saw other people doing it, and it looked pretty fun. just...when i started i was probably the worst ...ever! i can confidently say i've improved tons. but still have a long way to go. why i got into gfx? - just looked fun.
Well, I download Photoshop (after seeing some cool sigs and I wanted to make some), and just looked for tutorials. I found gamerender.com from good-tutorials.com. It seemed like a nice place, so I joined! And here I am, two and a bit years.
I just saw dA and a few other gfx sites and was like wow I wanna do that. And I got PS and started...and I am still around though I disappear every so often lol.
i saw this logo that was done with photoshop for a clan i played in on socom and i just loved it so i got photoshop and here i am now
GFX have always been something I've wanted to get into, ever since 2002. But I never ever gave it time and effort to actually try, because I felt it would take forever, either that.. or that It would be too complicated and I wouldn't truly get anything. I finally ended up joining, after a friend told me about the great friendly community here. Finally gave it a shot, two days ago and I've already learned a lot. Hoping to continue learning as time progresses so that's pretty much my story.
I started on GIMP. Weird enough I had no inspiration to make gfx. I just started going it, making ---- tags one at a time. Then I joined GR and got photoshop and here I am today, pwning those noob canvases.
