Hello, and welcome to Astral Renders, a set of renders completely by me. My name is Jack, and I've just gotten into rendering a few weeks ago. I started off with mad clicking with the pen tool, causing my renders to be choppy. I looked at a tutorial by .HaVoC., and saw that this isn't the proper way to do it. I'm showcasing all my renders here, free of charge, for everyone to use, no matter how many posts, nor how much money you have. Please enjoy them to the full! New ones added daily!
Reputation additions and credit donations are very much accepted, but there is no need at all.

    My Renders:
    Mario [Mario Party DS]
    Homer Simpson [The Simpson's Game]

    --------------------------------------------------
    #1 - Mario Party DS - Mario

    --------------------------------------------------

    Notes:
Pretty good, in my opinion. First render actually curving the lines, instead of random clicking with the pen tool. Many, many thanks to HaVoC for a more peaceful way to render. Looks a lot nicer when you're cutting out too!

    --------------------------------------------------
    #2 - The Simpson's Game - Homer
    --------------------------------------------------

    Original:

    Render:

    Notes:
Another go at a cartoon render, this one didn't take much effort - The Simpsons uses so many curves and the lines are bold. It was easy to go with them.

    --------------------------------------------------
    #3 - The Settlers 6 - Man
    --------------------------------------------------

    Original:

    Render:

Notes: The coat looked so awful when I clicked randomly with the pen tool that I just smoothed it out. Enjoy!

There are still some of the background on his right shoe (Mario's perspective), his ear and his gloves. Other than that, it looks pretty good. Also, you forgot his left arm (poor Mario :tongue2: ).

And the logo, it'd be best for you to change it so people can recognize who did the render on this forum.

Yeah, well. As soon as I get a Personal Message back from Shaggy about my GameRenders e-mail address, I'm changing my name. NOES! The arm. Oh dear =o.

Changed the whole theme of the thread to incorporate all of my renders. Please feel free to use any of the ones I post up - edited daily.
Donations and +REP are appreciated, but not required, nor expected =D

homer is good, without any flaws. mario, on the other hand, is not that good. there are many spots where some of the background is left. ;)

Homers a little choppy and Mario is missing his left arm. The Mario isnt bad but it still has some background on it and is missing that arm.

you mixed "original image" and "render" button places
anyway, settlers render is not that good either, i'd advise you to choose renders that you're sure you can do without cutting anything or struggling very much. for more complex renders try new techniques and read tutorials. that's the only way to improve :)
