Ok my I want to do a few slight upgrades on my pile of a computer here are the things I have. What do you recommend to put into it to make it run basic games like GunZ: The Duel, Fiesta Online, and CD game that have decent System Reqs.
The most that you would need is a video card, if you're not using one already. Probably an Nvidia GeForce 6600.
Save your money for a new PC? You only have PCI as an option nearly all of which suck. I'm going to let someone else find you a pci card to waste your money on.
I need a job pretty much. I just need something to make this pile work for the next 6 or so months till i can get a real proper rig.
You're truly wasting your money then. http://www.ncixus.com/products/23298/X1550PRO256PSB/Diamond/ That is probably your best buy. Your money would be put to better use being saved for that new rig however.
Marforce pretty much hit the nail on the head there. I'm going to be blunt, chances are you'de need the following new CPU, new motherboard, new RAM, new video card, new power supply. so in essence you'de need a completely new computer to play today's demanding games. save your cash, a DIY gaming system runs as low as $500USD if you're carrying over a few parts here and there.
Uh, why do people plague forums with these foolish questions. No! $150 isn't going to make much of a difference on your performance. No! You haven't done any research at all youself into what you need, and NO! We don't really give a ------. Google is your friend. You should be able to figure out you need a PCI graphics card, google would straight away tell you what the best PCI graphics card you could get for $150 is, and it should also tell you it would be a complete waste of money. Why would you want to spend $150 to upgrade your PC to play a free game like Gunz? It runs fine on my mates PC which is far worse specc'd than yours, albeit he requires to run on lowest everything. Honestly...
