Pc Won't 'turn' Off

    I go to START->Shut Down

    And then my computer freezes.. has happened since yesterday, the last 3 times I tried to 'shut down' or 'turn off' the computer.. it's froze..

    You can 'log off' but can't shutdown, anyone help?

    What I would suggest, is just to close all programs safely so you are looking at your desktop, and then HOLD your "off" button on the computer. It will force a shutdown, and most data that is updated will be lost. Nothing serious happens though, it's how I turn off all the time.

    <span style="font-family:Comic Sans MS">Download a program called CCleaner to clear out your cache and all the other useless crap on the pc. Then try what J a c K said.</span>

    I don't want to keep forcing the shutdown though.. won't that ruin PC?
