Now I know im probably going to get alot of fanboys yelling at me , but blu-ray might have just lost. Porn companies have decided to go with HD and Needless to say Porn outsells everything. I won't say the war is over till the fat lady sings [Wheres xlink? jking] but sony's blu-ray not having porn is a battle lost and its they're fault. I lol'd I think Blu-Ray vs the HD DVD is in a tough notch... I, in my opinion DVD is better, since I have it... Can't afford to get Blu-Ray and their movies.
Both HD and Blu-Ray is going to end up ruining the "beauty" part of Hollywood anyways. You'll start noticing all those blemishes and crap....bleh.
Porn industry is not nearly as strong as it was when the betamax and VHS fighted for the formats war. Nowadays it's so easy to find porn in Internet that buying is no longer that common. Therefore, I don't think this (OLD) news will have any impact on this "war"
At this point I'd say that it could go either way. The initial disadvantage of blu-ray was that it needed additional capital investment, new fabs etc. whereas HD DVD simply needed some minor retooling in the standard DVD fabs. the longer blu-ray lasts the more likely it is to survive, and that's a fact. in the end, we'll see. I'm not putting money into either format until I can get a good player for below $100USD.
Ehh porn is just going to end up PC and paper, computers are mostly geting to the point where its cheaper and easier to get, ESPECIALY minors, now that they can get porn off of anything virtualy, i think buying it is just going to gradualy die off entirely. That all is my point of view!

Wtf... I thought this was a thread I replied in like 6 months ago. Old news, and uhh Blu-Ray has been kinda beating HD-DVD for a while now, look at the sales. What was it, warner brothers or some ---- that just started supporting Blu-Ray. More companies are seeing that Blu-Ray is doing much better with sales being 2:1 and supporting Blu-Ray more.
