Too Much Grunge?

I am getting extremely tired of seeing/making grunge sigs. Is this just me?

I was wondering if there was any other cool background/themes.

when I look on sites like good-tutorials pretty much all of the backgrounds look lame.

what i'm asking is... what other kind of sig themes are there BESIDES grunge?

omg this guy is so righti despise grunge cuz everyone uses it ill rather have a techy lookor sumthin even a cartoonlook but ppl get over the grunge style its just so wack and lame my bro is like crazy with photosop hes got his liscne for napp to teach it and when he has time hes teaching it to me and he says theres more out there then grunge and ive seen his work so plz ppl getover the grunge look my bro always says if u see sumthin done try to do the opposite hope i can get sumone thinkin out here

 

if you dudes could make a bit of sense i'd answer...
any how apart from grunge there is abstract...and thats it!
Tech goes on top so thats not really a bkground style.
im sure theres a couple more, but there prob not worth mentioning...

 

i dunno i there has to be more then 2 styles for a backround ive seen so many diff backroundsb4 made on photoshop and now tat ce is out ithink there is alot more

Personally....

I'm new, and I've never seen hand made grudge backgrounds, so I'm gonna have to disagree with you guys on this one and say that I approve of the grudge

You're right, grunge is over used. But only because it's so easy to do.
Off the top of my head you have trendwhore, grunge, abstract, photo manipulation, and tech (similar to trendwhore).

Trend whore is abstract and tech combined. Here's a good example of trendwhore.

 

I like the look of trendwhore lol, and ya im really sick of seeng grunge too i've said that in the past i belive. But, its only used so much because two reasons

A) Easy
B) Looks cool if you do it write

 

the other style of bg is picture... touch up different pics and use them in your background . works rele well in a lot of sigs

The point is that it's done way to much. Sure people are good at it, but that's because it's easy to do.
