Fix up the text, and add something at his feet. right now it looks like his left foot is floating. It's a bit small too, as are your currents. The effects are over contrasted, and, especially for a sprite sig, it needs much better colours and less grey. Pretty good from a beginners perspective, however.

I think the text is too focal for this kind of tag. you want the render and the effect on it to be what catches peoples eyes
