Not able to in specific forums.

In terms of lifting, I can help on bulking up.

I am 5'11'' and about 285 lbs atm with under 7% body fat.

If your just looking to get a little leaner, more distinct features, etc. I can guarantee I am not the man to help you out =P.

doesn't that place all the heavy compound lifting on one day? I'd think it'd stress the immune system a lot.

i dunno just me, I tend to space out my heaviest lifts. Then again I'm doing full body a la HIT/HIIT as opposed to a split so such is not entirely applicable to me.

also you left out the best exercise - DEADLIFTS.

ok first of all .. when you go to the gym for the first time, don't lift to heavy cause i swear the next day you will be in so much pain that you can't move

im going to the gym for about 1 week now and i allready see difference in my body .. it works very good
but if you wanna put on some muscles .. then no treadmill that will make you more skinny
and people have forgot the most important thing xD

    WATER !!!

alot of water .. it's VERY good for your body

like for me...im 6 2 240,im 17. but i also was in weightlifting and football at my high school...so. i used to have a little belly, but my main thing would be is i used to walk fast/jogg on the treadmill for like an hour or so 1 time a day,and watch what a ate..like i wouldnt drink soda and i wouldnt eat fast food..eating is a main ingredient in weight loss..now if u want to get some ab muscles i would recommend doing alot of cardio/also doing alot of situps. hope this helped

If all he does is lift he wont see as much definition because there is still fat covering the muscles, you need cardio in your workout to burn fat, i get most of my cardio in the form of hockey and a treadmill, I doubt hes got a very low BF% as of now.

And yes, working out the way i posted can be kinda hard on your body, but i prefer to work certain areas of my body on certain days so if i am sore the next day, im only sore in one area and its not such a big deal, instead of being sore in general all over. You get used to it, if you've got a good immune system you will be fine.

Haha, yea, i assumed you knew about the water issue, The only thing i really drink is water and milk, occasionally juice buts its usually fruit/veggie juices that aren't packed with added sugars. Water is pretty key, buy one of those industrial packs of cheap bottled water it makes it really convenient.

Eat protein. Lots of it. Lots of carbs, lots of protein, lots of healthy food with high calorie content and energy.

For me, I bulked up from around 120 at the end of my 6th grade year to almost 225 or so by my 9th grade year. You put on alot of weight, you will look chubby at first (generally), but the idea is to add wait to turn to muscle. Most people like the thin, trimmed muscle guy, like brad pitt so to speak, and for something like that, its not really heavy lifting as much as lots of reps, constant use of muscles, etc. Weight helps, but more often than not, if your trying to remain skinny it will just bulk you up.

I ate alot of red meat, alot of beans, alot of bread, etc. whilst I was working out, and I found not only did it add weight to myself, but added muscle mass once I started working it off.

For technical aspects, I am sure someone else can help you out more, I never really looked into extreme details, etc. I just benched, leg press, squat, curls, push ups, situps, chin ups, etc. Same stuff you can find in any decent sized high school gym, eventually I started seeing great changes in my body that I liked, just kept pushing myself, etc. and got to where I am now.

Also, water is 100% needed. I hate water as well, what I do is get some really low calorie lemonade mix thats not overly sweet or anything, and find that the added taste makes water much more enjoyable for minimal costs.

Bulking isn't a bad idea at all, once you get the muscle mass, you adjust yoru diet and workout drastically to burn the excess fat and get more tone. Most people i know who i work out with, including myself, started out by flat out bulking for a while, and then once they were happy with what they had done, they lowered the amount of calories they had per day and went a little easier on the carbs, started eating 5 or 6 very small meals instead of three big main ones. When you add intense cardio and technical execises to this its not all that hard to get that muscle to show.

And dynamik, if a 6 pack is one of your main goals; Cardio, Situps/twisted crunches/regular crunches, stationary bikes and leg lifts are your best friend.

If you want faster results, then you should superset. Supersetting keeps the intensity up and gets you more muscle in less time. It also saves time.

Right now, I superset and it's working excellent for me. Protein is a must as well. Do not leave out cardio as the above posts stated. In my opinion, cardio is a MUST. I do cardio around 4 days a week.

Its when you do two exercises, back to back, with no rest in between, with multiple sets of each. For example you could do a set of Tricep Pushdowns, then right after a set of Skull Crushers, then repeat once or twice, and take a rest after.
