Countless times have I seen one-posters go into Offers and Requests asking for things, and then leaving this site forever. This is supposed to be a Graphics community, not a bunch of graphics users that get used for things, sometimes not even receiving a reward, or even sometimes not getting credited for their work. This is a really stupid thing to happen to generous members who often do it for free. Perhaps a post requirement is necessary? Just my suggestion.

Most gfx sites ive visted restrict members from requesting unless 20 posts gained. Good idea. Although doesnt really bother me.

I agree with you buddy. Maybe a 5-20 post requirement to get in, to atleast contribute "something" to the community.
They request things for free, get what they want, and leave. They don't give the thanks, credit anyone, and don't post ever again.
I think you we should have a post requirement system aswell.

20 all the way up to 50 seems easy for anyone to get, at least if they ARE people who'll never come back again, they are forced to make 50 posts and contribute before they get their things.

this was actually brought up in the staff section a week or two ago.

it seemed that the majority of our comments were saying that we dont like to have too many restrictions at the site. and its possible that the people would just spam up to 20 posts and never post again, and then leave. but we can leave this open for discussion for a little while.

20 post requirement would reduce the amount of requests, as most members would move on, OR i could be wrong like you stated , they would spam 20 posts and run.

Overall : 20 post rule wouldnt cause no harm, would just prove a little bit more that they want the request.

Two low means this will just continue. Too high means that people would hate it. If you go somewhere in the middle, say 10 posts, then the users would most likely be interested in it. Also, I think it should be kept the same, for the sake of argument, that the person who fulfills the request should be willing to do it for that person. I mean like if someone wants something, then anyone can fill the request, if they think they want to. The requester, in the end, could really have nobody fulfill the request.

Anywhere from 10-20 is reasonable in my opinion. They should have to contribute at least something to the community, whethr it be new topics, feedback, anything really.

10 is much too short, i say 20-30, that way with a few posts, they might get into the forum and decide to stick around

I would disagree....I mean its good for render requests because then WE are actually doing something for them with our time. Offers and Requests though, that will just lead to some major spamming around the site.

Making the requirement too much will lead to spam..I'd say 10 posts if it happens.

I'm saying it should be made a rule, but not TOO strictly enforced - EG, no mod made for it.

20 posts min to request with punishment(or more likely just a verbal warning) going to those who help out the newb w/ under 20 posts if the same person is doing it over and over.
