    Turkey is the "traditional" meal. My family usually has ham, though some will eat other meats.

    Yeah you can have chicken it doesnt really matter.
    IN fact they have chicken in a duck in a turkey yes like that one bird in another.
    Anyways I believe the turkey originates from the first thanksgiving. The colonists and indians shared a meal
    of corn and probably turkey. Turkey was also a key meat in America it was very important, and a main food source.
    Benjamin Franklin even opted to have the turkey as the US bird instead of the eagle.

    Cranberry sauce, I have no idea on that, thats probably tradition.

    BTW I myself prefer chicken as well.

    I eat Turkey through out the year, but this is the time we have the whole turkey and carve pieces off, i like it a lot :D

    Good idea, but it is already pretty relaxing for me. We have all moms of the family make the meal ;) (aunts, grandma, my mom)
