Call Of Duty 4

Ok, so I made this for a friend and he said it had to be call of duty 4 themed... well whatever.

I find myself greatly disliking the depth (or lack there of) and the lighting (or lack there of). I also think I made it too busy.
I did do pen tool for the first time with the glowing lines radiating from him though.

Help me. Tell me what I need to change to make it awesome.

Darken up a bit the right side. Make it look like light is coming from behind him. Make the text more legible.

 

Add some lighting. Maybe a 100 px soft brush and click once or twice behind his head. Then darken up some parts. (where the lighting is pointing away...) Lastly, sharpen up the focal a bit to give better depth.

v2 looks nicer. Still think you should darken up the right side a bit. Text is still hard to read, make it a lighter color.

Dont really like the text on the gun. And I think you should do some contrast and lighting work to make it so your lines done just appear out of nowhere around the guy. Overall a nice start. Keep at it

 

I think this would look nicer B/W or a bw gradient at around 85%

Nice - i like V3 the best, but add more things on the right side
