Wow...do you just think of ways to make things sound even more farfetched? Seriously a small child running past and being landed on? Please, show me at least one documented case of that happening.

Heres something even more simple....this woman couldnt even take a walk with her husband:

Come on now...that is just rediculous. He stopped to check on her and they were on a small path. That is not a stair set and he wasn't doing anything other than skating. No tricks, nothing. That is HIS fault for not paying attention to the lady or just thinking she would get out of the way, she's old. Come on now.

It IS a crime...do you think a bunch of old guys who spent half their life studying law...just woke up one morning and decided to make it a crime for no reason?
Im pretty sure theres logic behind it...no mater how many 12 year olds skateboard...its still a crime in some places. What gives some schmuck of a kid the right to think he can go into a public place and risk harming someone or damaging property that he didn't pay for?

Legal, the law says nothing about skateboarding being a crime.

Well, I'm done with this thread lol. It's going to be a flame war soon. :(

Though, as I said earlier, I do understand why in some areas there are laws in place to stop people from skating certain areas and I support said laws. Because they could just outlaw it everywhere in the town, city, etc. So...just deal with it. :P

I cant skateboard for the life of me, I was never good at it.. Actually I truelly never gave my best to try and learn it.

The only thing that should be a crime with skateboarding is, wearing the tight jeans while skateboarding... So so so gay!

It's fine but when it gets out of hand they should just have a few patrols to give the offenders tickets.

it shouldnt be a crime. its another mode of transportation. people just connect graffiti and other sorts of vandalism with skaters.

90% of the skaters at my school are ------ pothead retards. so truthfully i think its stupid, and what i hear them bragging about doing to public places, it should be illegal in that situation, but if they are just having fun, let them have fun, as long as they dont destroy things.

You do realize skaters are probably the most diverse group of people. Also, usually people skateboard because it's fun and not for girls (unless they're a douche, and if they do this they probably suck).

Woo hoo, I'd like to see you try it.
