Well generally you're getting it down BFG, let me just touch on a few things, the lighting is a bit overdone, it's really overpowering like a spotlight in a in a dark room. You're natural with flow, this flows very well, but you have a lot of empty space on the left side of the tag which is sometimes a thing people will criticize you on. I think you should probably put your focal in the center of the tag, and tone down the lighting a bit, and you have a winner!
it seems awkward, like i understand your trying to make it flow, but something seems awkward, maybe less blending ?
Well thanks. Yeah since his face position is to the left, I wanted to place him to the right and do stuff on the left side, but that didn't work out well. I'll center it next time, mmk? And yeah, now I notice that the lighting is indeed a bit overdone. Thanks! ^_^ Btw, you sound very familiar do I know you from somewhere?
Half of this took the words out of my mouth... Yes, putting it in the center would fix some of the empty space, as well as the lighting, and I think the blending looks nice though.
All of that took the words out of my mouth. Carrie better stick around cause she gives some rad CnC. ^_^ I like the flow as well mate. But the lighting is no good. Can't really say becauase the lighting's so strong, but it looks like the light should be to the top and left of him. Here's what I try to do. I open a render and just look at it's lighting. Then I contemplate where I want the light source to be. ^_^ Then I begin to build the tag and I throw the light in when it's proper. Also, Lighting doesn't have to be "extremely" noticable. In my current sig I jsut put a few white radials behind those two front C4ds and erased some. It created some cool light without having a giant beam hitting the render. So, experiment. Just work on toning it down and following the render's original lighting. ^_^
