    I live in australia.

Firearm laws are strict as hell.

Pretty much the only people with firearms are defense forces, police, and organisations or agrecultural holders.

Our farmers need the rifles for keeping down the plague rabbit numbers, and ferel dogs/dingos that prey on their lively hoods.

Other than that no one has a gun. And it works great. The occurances of murder by shooting is rare as hell and usually only in the big cities where crime is a business.

I support gun legislation to restrict any and all civilians from owning firearms.

I am not against killing though, dont get me wrong. I just beleive that if a person is gonna kill another person they should be looking into the eyes of their victem when they kill them.

there are so many ignorant people here. i personally own a gun, and i know dozens of other people who own guns specifically for sport shooting such as skeet, trap, target, and so on. i own a shotgun so i can shoot competitions. its merely my controller to a game, except my controller has a lot of power. you must be responsible with guns, obviously, but guns are not just for killing anymore. competition shooting is a huuuuge aspect of so many peoples lives, and i hate when no one understands that.

    Oh Christ...

Yes, us Americans all have an obsession with our guns (which is why so many of us choose not to exercise our right to own them). I'm personally waiting for the f*cking assault rifle handouts, free automatic weapons for the masses. Vote f*cking NRA! Yee-haw! The Republican Party is Jesus![/f*ckoff]

Who the f*ck are you to tell me what "normal people" should and shouldn't do?

I agree 100% with the San Diego Police; a gun's purpose reflects that of the user, just like any other tool. If that person's intent is to walk into a shopping mall with an assault rifle, that is the person's fault. Hell, just this week eight innocent people were killed in a school shooting in Finland. Where the f*ck were you anti-gun jackals then? You're quick to point out America this, America that, but you're too f*cking blind to see that this same sh*t happens in your own little f*cking dreamland. When you realize that blaming everything but the person f*cking up isn't doing anything, you'll be a lot better off.

I'm all for you having your own opinions on a subject. However, don't cross the line and tell me what I should do.

For the record, somebody's attempted to rob me at knifepoint twice. No guns so far. I live in the city with the highest violent crime rate in the nation, Memphis. Just an exception to the "normal" American way?

So you're anti-gun, but for killing?

    You're a f*cking psychopath.

For the record, on the "only in big cities" comment: that's pretty much how it is in the United States. You don't break into somebody's house in the middle of Bumf*ck, Mississippi; Grandma will fill your ass with rock salt. The majority of crime happens in the cities.

You are going in my signature :D

And my view, guns are just as deadly as the person. Its not like the guns make you kill someone, if you kill someone with a gun, chances are if you didn't have a gun, you would still kill them in some other way.

    Bull----

A gun makes it a LOT easier. If somebody can legaly go and buy a gun without having to go through to much problems, they are more likely to go on and kill somebody.

If you have to find a diffrent murder weapon, its making the job a lot more difficult

If you are too much of a ----- to beat them to death, then if they can't get a gun, they would do something shneaky like kill the person in their sleep or poison them..

Just for the record, when's the last time you've said something useful?

If you don't think shooting another person will affect you, you've been playing too many video games. If you think that you should stab someone rather than shoot them because it's cooler (excuse me, "more personal"), you really should lay off the Splinter Cell/check yourself into rehab. Like it or not, you're talking about ending somebody else's life; that's some heavy sh*t. Hell, I have PTSD just from stabbing somebody that tried to rob me; how the f*ck do you think it would turn out had I gone all the way and killed him?

Tell me, if guns are so evil, why the f*ck did people go around slitting each other's throats back before there were guns? The f*cking murder rate back then, if somebody had bothered to keep records, was probably a hundred times greater than it is now. I take it you'd have been anti-sharp-pointy-objects had you been alive at the time. Or maybe you'd think it was cool, since you got to see his eyes as you stick a knife through his rib cage, with his heart practically cutting itself in half as it beats against the blade and with the blood getting all over your nice new shirt. Do you people get off to this sh*t?

rofl ferret i just noticed your signature

but really, there have been so many stupid comments in this thread. so many people just think its the "right thing" to protest guns because thats what everyone is doing nowadays. just think about murder, and how guns just make murder easier. thats all they are, just tools to speed things up. its just like a nail gun. a nail gun is faster and easier, but someone is going to hammer in that nail even if they doing have a nail gun, they will just use a hammer. so stop pretending guns are so bad, its the ------ed up people who are the bad ones, and to legally buy a gun (at least in MA) is pretty difficult because they dont just hand permits out to any random psychopath.
