So I got into C4D recently and I keep receiving an error whenever I load in a material. I goto the Material pane and click file >load material I goto a material that I downloaded, and click open everything works, I can even add it to my C4D but when I goto render I get this error For this example I just loaded something from I've tried many different ones, same error. Only ones that work is Hair and the default ones under Shader Am I loading the wrong things? It's giving me materials I can use. I've been looking around the web and can't find anything; I'll continue to look Thanks
<span style="font-family:Comic Sans MS">It's because the materials with the error use external pictures in them. The one you loaded in the screen shot uses a picture called "xtenv1502.jpg" but C4D can't find the pic so it gives that error. If you got the materials from a pack, the pics they use probably came with it. You just have to let the material know where the pic is located on your pc. It's almost like a broken link to a picture.</span>
oh, thanks though that was the problem, Except thats one of the ones that came with the C4D install, or at least I believe so
