I recently got a Full HD plasma TV (panasonic Viera 50") and I set it up with a HTPC (Core 2 duo E6600 + 1GB RAM). HTPC is definately the way to go since it can decode material extremely well and 1080p movies look awesome! Here are some pics (my pics suck LOL) On gamerenders: Watching 300: Using Vista:
What video card are you using? or perhaps onboard? I have a 2600XT which I'm gonna use when I make a HTPC in a few weeks. Surprisingly cheap compared to pre-built branded Home Theater systems. Something like a cheap 945 mobo/e2140/2gig RAM should work a treat.
Oh - that =] My HTPC doesnt have internet access, but I really wanted to see GR on the big screen so I saved the page, put it on a USB and played it using IE (wasnt bothered to install FF for one use). Notice how the ads werent loading due to the PC having no internet access. Thanks for ur comment!
Nope, Its just a stock intel fan with speedstep enabled. With the sound on, you cant tell, even if you tried hard to listen to it =]
When you go blind sitting that close to a screen that big, I'm going to lol at you. Just a warning so prepare to be lol'd at.
How the Hell would you know where I sit? I didnt even include my couch in any of the pictures! I took the pictures close up. The actual viewing distance is a good 3.5m away from the screen.
I know cuz I installed a hidden camera in that room, in your bathroom, and in your kitchen. I've also seen you fap over that keyboard numerous times while watching Voltron. Any more questions?
