Well as I've been getting beat left and right at NSL lately, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Some help from you ---'s here at GR would be great, maybe give me an idea on what I need to work on, I thought they looked good, but I'm not getting any votes :*(

These three are my most recent losses, and some tips on what can get me back in the game would be great, because I go over there and look at the ----- Signatures and all that, and they seem really bland. I don't know, am I trying to be too flashy?

They're not bad. I would work on lighting. That seems to be a weak point in each of the sigs.

Superbulous, but what aspect of the lighting would you say needs work? Is it too bright, too overbearing, too silly, too cheery?

    Hmmmm...
    I agree, they're definitely not bad. :D
    Just needs some improvement.

I would say on the lighting
It's a little bit overpowered and it looks
kind of tacked on. Like you just plopped a
gradient on there and left it.

Your magic sig is tight. ^_^

Very good stuff, work on toning
that light down a bit. ;)

Thanks for the tips and compliments Hoplite, I'll try to keep the lighting at a friendlier level :) I just love the sun though! LOL

I think they all look great. Great technique. Great smudging. The lighting is kind of over-powering lol. I would just lower the opacity on the lighting and it would be almost perfect :D

All they said, the magic one is great btw, seriously.

Also, maybe try some Black and White sigs, would look good.

    Great job, keep doing so.

Well thanks RGB, the funny thing about the first one, is I made it because I was mad about losing to what I thought were very simple signatures, so it's about 5 layers lol, 1 layer with a chalk line, next with a light source, next with a splatter brush, and then the final with a building background. It's funny that everyone likes it so much!
