anybody know of any good/ easy to setup corporate security software?

Here's the problem, im tired of helping my brother fix his PC, he just doesnt stop downloading crap, and i've tryied everything, blocking his net and all, but i want to give him some freedom cuz i know that a PC w/o internet , isnt rly a pc, so imma just go w/ security software :D so before it allows him to download anything he'll have to type a password and well ill make sure he cant get anything he shouldnt :D

    Thanks in Advance

Hm, try changing his short cuts to vbs/bat files.

    Try this pone.

    Code:
    while(true)
Response = MsgBox("You have downloaded too much porn, and dont even dare to ask your brother for help on this one;)", 2, "WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!11")
    Wend
Put that in a text file, and then save as "Downloadapplication.vbs".

    Simple solution... Install Linux.

I did it for my little brothers computer and haven't had to touch it in months.

Only problem is if he plays games on it.

I have McAfee Firewall and Norton Personal Firewall. Both seem to work fine to help prevent bugs. And, I use FireFox. If he's using FireFox just search its site for addons that make you double check what is downloaded, ex: Dr.Web anti-virus link checker.

you could just let him screw up his computer on his own, and then make him pay some other tech guy to come fix it and mabye he'll learn a valuable lesson ;) if not..

You can take a look at

Trend Micro somethign or other, it's what my dad has and it's annoying as hell with all the popups warning me about stuff I do on the internet, i'm sure there might be some feature it has that's like what you are looking for.

there are all kinds of programs you could use. you dont really need an antivirus software. you could also try using something that wont let him install anything without a password gives freedom of the internet(unless you get a firewall blacklist) and no buggies can infect his computer and he cant install anything XD

    heres a link
    http://www.faronics.com/html/deepfreeze.asp

its the same program i use at school to prevent the dumbass's from screwing up the machines more than normal

Also buy it from the online store i don't think you would need 10 licences or more XD

K4D - Oh I did, but he just won't learn, the PC's been sitting on his room and he doesn't use it. It's a waste of a PC and all but heck, mom gave it to him, i have no word in that.

    homeboy9 - That's the type of stuff I'm looking for :D . I'm looking into that.

Please keep the list coming since I will looking into many of them that are worth looking and worth the $ ^_^ .
