Have you tried disabling your firewall?

Which firewall program are you using? Or are you using Windows Vista's?

Shouldn't be using Norton or Vista. :(

You do not have the built-in firewall on, correct?

Are you using a router? If you are, then the router's firewall might be blocking it... Try DMZing your computer to see if that does anything, then you can disable that and open the ports for those services.

Have you checked the event viewer to what the actual error code is?

    Nortan + Vista = bad

I would recommened the use of Panda. Norton doesn't get full access to Vista anyway

NOD32 or Avast for AV and just let Windows do your firewall because you aren't running a server from what I know.

Now, tell me. Did you ever have a network bridge? Also, it still allows you online correct?

I had a network bridge then took it down then made another and it didn't delete the first one and then I reported it on MSDN. I think that you have a problem similar to the one I faced. I just backed ---- up and reinstalled. Right now that is the only solution we see for it.

I will continue to look around though.
