Ok, I've been trying to figure out my smudging problem since I started making sigs again.

The problem is this: when I select the smudge tool and then select a smudge brush to use (chalk, spatter, etc.) I don't get any brush options. I open the Brush Pallette and only have Shape Dynamics and Other Dynamics. I can't open up the rest of the brush options. The part that ticks me off the most is the fact that I have all options when I select the regular Brush tool. (I have pics of the smudge options or lack thereof)

This dilemma is really causing problems for me. If anyone out there knows where the root of the problem lies, please speak up. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be helpful too. I'm willing to try just about anything.

(Photoshop 7 btw)

That's wierd, I know scatter doesn't work in old versions of ps but all the other stuff should.Show me a screen of your "Brush Tip Shape" settings, maybe i'll see something you don't.

you can't because it's photoshop 7, if you want to you may need to use the brush tool and use the settings you want, only thing i can think of. Sorry but you will not be able to smudge using Photoshop 7 unless you intend to do it while using the brush function.

4u2nv: I'll get you another screen shot so you take a look.(it won't be tonight though, 1am here)

Abet: if you're right and I hope to god you're wrong (no offence) I'll somehow have to find a newer version of Ps. Any idea where I could go? I got this one from a friend...

Dangit, ALL I WANT TO DO IS SMUDGE! ARGH!!

The problem is because you're using Photoshop 7. Upgrade to CS, CS2, CS3, or CS3 Extended and you won't have this problem. Photoshop 7 sucks anyway lol. Using Photoshop 7 is like someone using IE 4 or something.......just upgrade.

CS3 Extended trial
CS2 trial
