i'm getting most of my parts off of ebay stores , but here's the rundown of the big things: body, my favorite color is blue ebony neck (i wish they made one with an ebony headstock) pickguard I'm getting pickups from Kinman Guitar Electrix, which is kind of an unknown manufacturer, but they're "noiseless", and I know of at least 2 guys that use them (David Gilmour, Floyd, and David Crosby, CSNY). Anyway, I'm combining the neck and middle pickups from the Blues set with the bridge pickup from the Woodstock plus set (you can order combos). I'm getting them in black without the logo. Here are the 3 sets he makes with sound samples. That's the important stuff, there's of course other things like all the electrical (my dad's helping me there ^_^), and the bridge, but I didn't wanna bore you. Oh, I'm getting black knobs to go with the pickguard.
WTF is that gona be electric? from what i understand it will be, good luck with it all, your gona need it dude thats crazy, but then again some ppl say its crazy that people build compiters
yeah well i'm just gonna go really slow and be really careful, and hopefully everything will go well
Dude thats awesome, My stepdad tried building an acusitic(sp?) from scratch he got to the neck and gave up for all i know. What your doin sound really cool, ive never been one who'd play guitar though.
Oooooh, yeah acoustics are 100x harder to build from scratch, since the body is what makes the sound instead of a lot of wires and electrical crap .
