Text? Keep it simple, keep it small. That is totally competing with your focal point right now; it's too big and showy.

Yea it all looks nice, the text need work buts who's doesnt? i dont know. but what would look nice around you sprite would be some varied size smooth round brush dots i like white and yellow and use more small dots than big dots. that would like nice IMO but only becuase you see it alot in sprites and is sort of a singature sprite move but i like this nice try for your second sprite

vibrant red is the most attractive colour possible. if you have it as a background, the stock will be very hard to focus on.

For the sprite the things around the actual focal are very vibrant and confusing. try getting some void empty space in there for the focal to be able to get the attention right now it is very distracting around the main idea of the tag

To improve your texts, you need to make them simple and plain. I know this sounds crazy, but simplicity keeps everything fine. Try to get a fine background too since it's the one who keeps the signature alive. Don't forget that flow is important to get a good background, and your render should flow as well.

What I like to do is keep most of my "main" text
in caps. I like to use simpler fonts (depending on the tag)
that don't draw to much attention to the actual font.

Sometimes you can pull of larger text, but it's kind of
hard. It has to fit the tag perfect if you try it.

    Good sig, just text stuff.

Here, Check out Inverse's Text Tut here: http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=354576

    That helped me a lot.

    Here's a few more tips:
Try to keep text under 16 in size.
Use a larger size for main text and smaller size for secondary text.
Secondary text sometimes looks good with a lower opacity than main text.
Be careful with Italics, they can be GREAT or they can SUCK. Feel it out.
Don't put text on top of your focul, looks bad.
Don't put text too near your focul, also looks bad.

    Good luck,
    Let's see some more tags.
