    Hey everyone,

I've recently purchased a video from and online provider and I believe it's an m4v** file or something of that sort ( I believe the same file type that Itunes uses for its videos ). I've tried doing alot of things like dl'ing different players, codecs and so forth but I haven't gotten any luck with it.

Is there video converter that will decode the file type into something like avi? I'd like to use this video for a project using sony vegas, windows movie maker =/

This is a different topic question, but when playing videos and the next frame is always pixelated ( see'ing white boxes crowd the screen ) does that mean that the video needs codecs or does it need to be buffered faster / slower?

    any help?
    ~Thanks

    No dude. . . lol

    Just download this: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

VLC has everything for EVERYTHING. So there will be no problem playing anything you need played in it, and you can use your default for your other stuff you could play already.

    Good luck.

    EDIT:

It comes in a small package and is good for AVI's etc. erm . . if you need to know more it should be on the site, but I suggest this for anyone. I got it on every USB Flash I own.

That is VERY strange then. Maybe it is just a corrupt file in general.

I do not think it is corrupt. Itunes uses the same file type for their videos I believe, which is m4v. I haven't tried dl'ing the codec pack reccommended yet, but I will try it.

Uhm Quicktime plays the same stuff as iTunes.

But then again VLC should work as well...

Try converting it with Zamzar. All you have to do is upload it, then the site converts it, and you download it.
