    Okay people

Im always trying these Tutorials and not with any luck ±P
( I was now busy with the Naruto tutorial in Free tutorials section :) )

First of all my Hotkeys in Photoshop dont work anymore.
But the first question is :

I see all these nice smudge tutorials but when i smudge i just pick and random brush and try my best :)
Which one's do you guys use cause i just take first one in the list :)

    The 2nd :

In alot of signatures they use c4d's, i downloaded some packs and got alot of them but when i add them
it doesnt get cool as it does in the picture. Maybe cause i use wrong packs ? Or maybe cause its on a
black background. Of course i can start deleting the background but that take's alot of time :P

I hope you can help me

The best thing to do is find a c4d that will fit what you want to use it for and use a lighter colored background, and just play around with the layer settings of them.(it wont appear the same as whats in the tut due to settings)

There are some good smudge brushes avaliable here on GR and DA to download, but you will need to configure which setting is right for you considering which brush you are using and what effect you are after.

and as for smudging it depends on the tutorial because some use a soft nrush or a hard brush or splatter brush and etc, their is no set brush

    and

are you setting the c4d to linear dodge, screen, color dodge?

Ya, when using c4d's try resizing them just a bit, so they fit a little better with your sig. Just turn down the optamacy, or layer settings just place around with layer settings till you get the feel for it. Next I think on the top of your menu somehwre workspace or something is a selection<restore default settings or somewhat close to it, click it andyout hot keys should come back to normal.

for the photoshop shortcuts, (if you're on a PC...even though a mac should have basically the same menus) go to Edit>Keyboard shortcuts. Once there, just start clicking on the "Application Menu Command" groups in order and if the 'use default' button becomes active, press it. If it never becomes active then you might have to create your own keys, and then save the custom set.
