I don't know where to start? Is the steal item going to be around forever? Why does the bank cost so much to use? 100 credits to open an account, 2% fee and then 200 credits to withdraw? That is crazy! You can buy tags and memberships to shops for the cost of withdrawing money. If I put my creds in the bank and then decide to buy a tag for 400 credits it will cost me an additional 400 credits to get my money out and buy the tag...so overall one purchase will cost me double from now on. If I leave my money out of the bank people steal it.

Game Renders what are you thinking? Is this even legal. Lets say I buy credits from Game Renders at $40.00 usd for 10,000 credits and some one steals them? What kind racket is that? This is just silly and unprofessional. You can't run a successfull business witht hese childish practices.

I was really starting to like the community and I was planning on buying a platnum membership but not after the business practices by GR.

I suppose you will instantly delete or close this.

I don't know ...That is why I would like to see some logical and calm discorse on this thread and see what is going on here, but they seem to close all these threads right away and no one knows what is up withthe new policies.

the item will stay around for quite a while.

yes it is legal, and the fees are not that expensive. GR does not just exist to make a few bucks. GR exists for YOU, and other members here. If shaggy wanted a business, he would invest in something that can actually make him descent money. We are here for you, so when all you do is complain, it shows that you dont appreciate anything we do (especially admins.)

I agree with Limping, How old is our root admin by the way, Also there are tools to block this stuff. The root admin should download torrents and insert them in the credit code, so no one cannot jack this stuff. Technology is getting more advanced now and along with crack coding. If the word spreads about how to crack credits, this place will be infested with high-jackers. Then forums won't be any fun.

    Creation Fee $100
    Initial Interest Rate 0%
Initial Interest Time 52 weeks, 1 day
    Initial Desposit Fee 5%
    Initial Withdraw Fee 0%
    Removal Fee $200

100 credits to create and 5% desposite fee? So just to open an account and desposit my 2,500 credits turns into 2,275. And if I want to make a big purchase and use all my credits I pay another 200 creds? Dr!ver offers year long memberships to his shop for 100-500 creds and Game renders charges me 500 creds to use silly bank or some one will steal the credits I payed usd for? Make no sense.

A lot of the GR users are kids and they can't afford a ton of credits or to have them stolen.

the 200 credit removal fee is if you want to remove your bank account to upgrade to a higher one. you dont pay anything to withdraw your own credits. you pay to create the account, and you pay a very small percentage of your deposit.

I could really give a damn about credits, heck anyone want' em?
Who cares I guess, this site was built for the enjoyment of art.
So let's do what we love doing I guess, If life was really good, people wouldn't charge for useful tips or PSD banners...along with any type of art.

Surely if Shaggy and the admins wanted to make money for the site, this wouldnt have happened.. People will rarely sell creds anymore I'm thinking (because they wont want to lose them, pay whatever it costs to open/withdraw or whatever) which leaves it to the site to sell them, and I doubt many people would buy them anymore since this steal item has been introduced, meaning that the site is probably losing money rather than gaining it.. I still say it was a bad idea for this steal item; there is other methods of containing the credit problem, most of which are better than this. Dont get me wrong, I havent lost any creds, I rarely ever use them in any way, shape or form.. But surely this is killing the GR economy more than the credit problem did in the first place..?

Yeah, I'm not complaining, just trying to make a point about this..

This is the first time since I've been a member here that I have seen any type of uproar about something the admins have done.. We all appreciate the effort and time the admins and whoever puts into this forum, but still, when so many people complain about something, you gotta wonder if you made the right choice..

Seriously Shaggy please change this. This is so annoying how people buy credits and get them stolen. And all right lets say someone did get bought credits stolen you might pay them back. But check this, what If someone earned alot of credits just selling their own graphics and such. Will you pay them back than? I don't think so. And I understand why the money system came out. Isn't it to reduce the ammount of credits in our system? Well put it like this. Ask every1 on gamerenders to give away just 100 credits. We will have a whole load of less credits. This isn't the right way to go. Soon there will be steel password or account items?

As a note, we do give refunds if someones credits were stolen via buying them, because that is our mistake, as admins, for not directly editing them into your bank and instead putting them on hand.

part of the idea of having such an item is to discourage credit whoring.

those who are here for the community and like it here aren't affected all too badly.
If you so wish to leave that's entirely up to you. FYI you shouldn't have to worry about the credit steal item if you don't piss anyone off. On average the person using the item ends up 1000 creds worse off than if they hadn't stolen.
