I have a question for you... Do you all believe that although you may not be able to write it down your body knows things such as basic physics and chemistry etc... I mean think about it a friend throws you a ball and you can tell where it is going to fall... for slow throws most people can glance at the ball look away and still catch it. Now technically i believe this is being able to gauge what effect the gravity and velocity have on the ball to enable us to place our hand in the correct place to catch it... This happens on many different levels and i was wondering if any of you had thoughts on it ?
I agree. And actually, our bodies and minds know advanced physics and stuff. However, it's being able to put it down on paper, that is more difficult.
i agree with Shneaky Some of the most basic human actions can be extremely hard to reproduce or put on paper. It took scientists years to figure out how to make a robot walk like a human. They are still having trouble just recreating an accurate robotic hand.
I never thought about this, and now that I read what you have said you are making me think. Though I don't have to think much because I completely agree with you, and I'll just leave it at that. Lol.
i thought this was going to be about talking to your subconscious, which is usually done by lucid dreaming.
I suppose i would agree, subconciously we all have an idea of the way things work and how it should be, this is what common sense is...
It happens because the human brain is so used to things happening how they should, that when you see a ball at a certain speed, it recognizes how far it will fly or when it will fall, etc. If it's something different, it's kind of awkward (a super heavy ball being the size of a ping-pong, or a beach ball flying 100s of feet) that it seems weird. Also, the human brain will make things "right" even when they are not. Which is why optical illusions happen, or when things like two "the" words in a sentence being read quickly the brain will process only one of them (because "the the" doesn't look right most of the time in a sentence).
Never really thought about it but yeah, it's definitely a matter of our brain working without us telling it to.
The Human body is one of the best creations of all time. It is perfect, only flawed by nature. I never thought about this specific topic though, nice post
