going by a average length of 4 mins around 20 but you probably wont get that many due to the file sizes.

I'd say 18-22 depending on the quality of the MP3's.

it mostly depends on if you leave them in mp3 format over the audio format... many cd players cant read mp3 files so they can only use around 20 songs, but if your player does support mp3 you can get up to 120 songs id say per disk....

Well, the average size for an mp3 song is probably ~3 mb

    700mb/3mb = 233 and 1/3 songs

So about 233 songs if your CD can read straight mp3s (Although that also depends on the quality)

However, if your CD player can't read straight mp3s

The average song length is ~4 min

    80mb/4mb = 20 songs

Not if you burn it as an MP3 CD. I've managed to put about 7 FULL ALBUMS on one 700mb disc.

For the MP3 CD to work the player has to support it like homeboy9 said.
