    I gave in.

I went to best buy and was just browsing around. I ended up leaving with an elite and halo 3 lol....

So I'm wondering from other xbox 360 owners out there, I've synced my computer and my box, but I'm having problems finding out how to get actual mp3's or other music files onto the hard drive? Is this possible without burning a ton of audio cds? Can I sync my box with ipod or laptop, or one of my external 500 gig drives?

Also can I copy my movies onto the box?

Games onto the box? I've heard of dvdtoxbox, I like the idea of softmodding... But it's only for the original xbox. Will the hdmi cable cause any problems with "legit" movie downloads? etc?

As always I hit up google first...

Thanks in advance for any help,
    Brian

check the xbox website, thats how i learned how to do it. Im pretty sure you cant take the mp3's from your computer to your hdd. So the mp3s wont be on your hdd but when your on your network you have the mp3s.

Yes, I understand the networking aspect. There has to be a way, to physically transfer data onto the xbox hdd....

Yeah, Hadouken, you use the USB lead, you can plug just about any MP3 players in via USB and it'll sync so you can play while listening to songs while you play.

For music you have to use audio cds. I haven't heard of any other way besides burning. Movies and games to the hdd aren't possible at the moment.

For games, you'll need to flash your drive but that means voiding your warranty (you have to open your 360 at least once). MS will tell if your games are backed up unless you add some stealth thing to them which I won't say.

Yep, I've been reading up quite a bit on the subject. Everything carries (what seems like) an extremely high risk. System warranty is void, and xbox live could be shot. Both of which would be five hundred plus dollar mistakes...

Maybe I should have sticked with pc gaming... lol.
