I was just wondering what you guys think. What are some good war movies you have seen. I'm Talking about older ones like Saving Private Ryan and Behind Enemy Lines.

    Platoon :)

The Thin Red Line was garbage. The only movie I have ever walked out of in a theatre

If you're looking for some good war movies, here are a few suggestions from my collection.

    Full Metal Jacket
    Platoon
    Tigerland
    Apocalypse Now – Redux
    A Thin Red Line
    Enemy at the Gates
    Pearl Harbour
    We Were Soldiers
    Black Hawk Down

If I think of more, I'll post them for you bro.

Apocalypse Now. Best war movie in my opinion. But I didn't personally like Redux as much as the theatrical version.

How did you like Thin Red Line... it was so long and overdrawn I think...

It has an amazing cast for the movie and great acting but I agree with you, it was a lot longer then it should have been. It was boring at times but everyone has a different opinion for movies so I figured I'd suggest it anyway. ;)

Tora Tora Tora was pretty good. Though after about the fourth time of seeing it, you get tired of it.

    The Last Samurai was great. I can't stand watching it anymore though cause one of the TV channels played the movie a lot for over a week, and my dad decided to watch it almost every time it was on. ^^;

I know it's not a movie, but Band of Brothers. Definitely one of the best imo.

Platoon, Apocalypse Now, the jump/Normandy scenes from Band of Brothers, Full Metal Jacket, and, if you really want to go back, The Longest Day.

Tom Clancy's Clear and Present Danger is decent as well, though it's not "war," per se.
