In full honesty, most mods become mods after staff has gotten to know them, its rather difficult to judge someone through their posts on the site, and a good majority of people who have become mod have joined the IRC and chatted with us daily for months. There are a few, such as Draven, Remix, Pulse, Angst, Huy-N, Bandits, Blackfuse, etc. who were not in the IRC, and were promoted due to maturity and overall activity across the site for long periods of time, generally with giving resources to better benefit the site.

Apology accepted even though I wasn't affected from the item in any way; nobody decided to rob my credits at the time. I suppose 8k wasn't worth stealing compared to other members who had much more. The item was just put into GR to eliminate credits from the system, everything the staff does is for the common good of the forum.. people just need to realize that. However, I do feel that some sort of notice should have been put into place such as a special announcement of the specific item coming out and giving all members of GR 1-2 weeks to put their credits into the bank, instead of 2-3 days. (It was mentioned to use the bank, but it was never mentioned to put it in the bank because they would get stolen from a new item.)
Think about this though, if we gave warning, and all credits where banked. Wouldnt that have defeated the purpose?
As I've posted in other threads, every big change on a site like this, has both positive and negative sides.. We got some credits out of the system, Yes! But then again, there are the people who has paid real cash to get them, and then get ripped off. ---- happens, and we have to live with it.

Not as many credits would have been removed from the system, however, it would have avoided the problem of members mentioning that not enough notice was given to put their credits in the bank. In short, there would have been less whining. Not everybody checks Gamerenders on a daily basis, most members come in every 2-3 days, which was the span between the date that the "GR Bank opening" topic was made and the creation of the "steal money" item was made. Nevertheless, what is done is done, not much can be done to change the past. Besides, the members shouldn't have really whined about a new feature being put into place, and for that reason, I give sympathy to the staff members who spent time developing the item; I know it was simply put for well-being of Gamerenders in the long run.
