    @ Bleak :

Well I Got the DVD. and I saw The Interviews on Yuotube.
and I think most of the inspiration goes from porcupine tree to opeth.
Cuz akerfeld says that 2 :P

And i never have seen them :( :(
They don't come to holland that much.
I'm only listening to them for like an 3/4 year so.
But I can already say that this is one of my fav bands all time :)

And at 1000 watts about the GR album.. I think the album is good. the outcome of some songs is great.
but i think roudrunner records got a big influence to the band at that moment. so
thats why it sounds different then the others.

Also I still think that My arms you hears is their best album.. but thats because of when (love that song..

And All Shall Perish, it sounds nice. but i'm not to fond of it.
I'm not into the vocal and drum. I got the song: Eradication mayb thats just a bad song
but i'm not feeling that so much :P

That sucks, if they do play somewhere around you; I highly suggest going, they play so great live. Its almost like you're listening to a recording. I haven't watched the interview on Lamentation since the DVD first came out; so I forget a lot of stuff about it. I just know they are two great bands. I remember buying In Absentia a year after it came out... I was so surprised that Best Buy had it... Now they definitely carry Porcupine Tree.

About "mainstreamness": I listen to a few bands that are on major labels and don't consider them mainstream, because there are still not many people that have heard of that particular band; they're usually out-shined (so to speak) by the more popular, "mainstream" bands.

Gotta love Turmion Kätilöt . Finnish metal. Rammstein like but more brutal and sung in Finnish.

Now that i think about it, the first 4 songs on their new album are godly
