seriously in all honesty cant trust anyone in this world these days - About the members leaving .. I am sorry even though i havent stolen any creds due to the shear nature of it like what happened yesterday with hard work cred earners

It is a effective way to remove creds however since HIGHER staff wanted to get rid the total amount, which it has then that brings me to .. SET CREDS TO 0 :)

@DIOR - .. stop giving stupid examples lol - i agree even though the members who are leaving had 1000s of creds ... a forum is built up by members - If everyone on GR leaves, GR is dead.fullstop.

Exactly what I think, putting the whole issue aside I think the way a couple of community staff members handled themselves during this was just immature. Staff on a forum should have at least a certain degree of profesionalism and for a select few of community staff members that was pretty much non existant. Rather than responding constructively they'd rather laugh and tell people how they fail for being upset over losing 'e-money'. I also got the feeling of them trying to hold their staff position over people in an attempt to belittle them. Sure staff should be able to muck around and have fun but this wasn't the time. Of course there were quite a few people who followed the examples of these staff members who's posts were just as immature (in attempt to get in the staffs good book I guess)

As for the Global Mods involved in the situation, which was mainly dementia (I don't mean in abusing the item, I'm talking about talking to the members and responding to posts). Although I do not agree with most of what was said dementia's posts were constructed well and were mature.

This item has had very little effect on my "wealth" on GR, I lost no credits and as the ammount of credits in circulation is less I've actually gained from this situation. But I still think this has to be one of the worst updates to GR, as I said before I usually agree with what the Admins / Mods do and have never whined about anything (nor am I now, I am expressing my opinion however). People have been saying things like only people who lost over XX,XXX+ credits have the right to complain but that's not the case, it's the principle of the matter and this was a very unfair updated (I'm sure we've gone over that enough in the other threads now though). The general feeling was it's the staff against all the members who stated their opinion about the situation.

All these people saying it's "just e-money" go cry and such, and "it's just pixels, go draw credits:100,000 in paint" really are not relevant. Everything we see in the "physical world" is just light which our eyes and brains interpret, you wouldn't tell someone who's just lost money to go draw it on a piece of paper and stop whining. As has been said these can be sold for real money and effect people's real lives. To the people who say this isn't real life, you can't compare, well in most isntances you can that's the point of an analagy, which is generally exhageratted to illustrate a point. Eg. If the government did this and billions of dollars were taken out of circulation sure it will increase the worth of money drastically but it's an unthinkable and unfair thing to do.

I don't think it's just the "credit whores" who are leaving, this would have annoyed quite a few people who lost nothing out of the situation (me for one) who were just plain annoyed at the principles of this situation. I'm not going to make a thread about leaving because of this, and I most probably won't leave completely but I can't see myself coming here very often anymore.

There just seems to be so much tension around GR lately, a lot of people wont think twice before personally attacking and flaming someone for a post and when the staff starts doing it as well (I'm not saying all the staff either, just some) it makes it worse.

So the staff aren't humans as well? They have to act like robots with a stick up their ass all the time because they're staff? That's like me saying I can't have a go at a dickhead who calls me "Emo" at work because I'm staff. Last one who did, the manager came up behind me and goes "Look Jake, we're dead at the moment, fix him up or boot him out." I threw him down the stairs. Useless example, but it works IMO.

I think some of the members are selling their accounts because they PAID for the credits lost now they need money.

What examples?

And in all honesty, I highly doubt that EVERYONE will leave the forum because of this...

Loosing 5 members that care too much about credits won't matter.

sad to see members are leaving
but wasend me only abbout the leaving of members more they way you act
i think you as staff should act like a staff and not laughing and flaming at the people

staff is for helping people and punishing if nessesary not to act like the boss who nobody whants to have

i understand if people are hurt in their feelings i have it to i was hit pretty hard to
you could give me the item for free i still dident use it
i tought i had many friends here hope that none of them stole my credits

So if we're staff we can't argue back about our point in this whole situation? Because we are staff we have to be neutral to everything?

Arguing isn't wrong, but laughing at people and saying "------ you, leave then" isn't necessarily a good thing either.

What should I say then?

"Please don't leave good sir! I don't really like you, but PLEASE, don't leave!"

Getting called a faggot isn't really what none of us would like either, so I'm just tossing the ball over.

personally its all gotten out of hand ( i no i sia dim leaving im just checkign some posts ) ETC any how... remove teh mod make teh shop somthing usefull keep the bank charges thats not such a bad idea. The main reason to all the arguments i think is the item was jsut dropped on us i was away for what 2 hours come back and teh item was there . Mods dont have to be neutral and be like arobot no they are human they can expres there feelings but when mods say fine leave you wontbe missed and dont let teh door hit you on teh way out you no its bound to make some people retaliate, it doesnt help the situation.....

My fix...
Creds to 0
Remove Cred Stealer
Keep Bank And Charges Go From there
Do new comps where people can win creds etc

Good luck everyone

I think this was a good idea.

It keeps things interesting for those of us who don't care about credits like I do. Thumbs up.

Those who care about credits, uau, what a loss it is!

Coincidentally, those were the same dickheads that put on the hate spread around gr. Pop queen was a good name. They were too negative, sure this is a generalization, but I don't mind them leaving.

Laughing is good, since people on this forum flame more then they play. So good job!! :D :D

I hope it's not becasue of creds. Its not like its real money or anything, I'v been on and off GR for 3-4 years or so and I'v never even had more that 100 creds in my pocket barely enough to buy a tut or two but that didn't make me quit. I joined GR beacause I was into photoshop and imageing and this site HAD a decent community on it with plenty of resuorces to fuel my hobby.

I think people are quiting because either they don't like the people anymore or it's just a cycle and the older members are loseing intrest or whatever.

witde I think has the most valid point (see one post above me for Kennedy's quote)

Acid, I've spent a few hundred $'s on creds.. So it is about money.. I now have 44 credits and wasn't aware of the bank nor the new crap idea of stealing credits.

I think every member who hasn't used the credit stealing option should be given the item once for free to make sure everyone gets a chance.

The item costs 1500 yet people who got stole already don't have the option to buy this item ( Lame as hell )

So you want us all to buy from the GR bank so you become rich rich ( Lame again )

Why would you spend that much real money creds I honstly don't see the point of that?

I don't want to start flame war or any thing but why?

My only suggestion to that is for the moderaters to make a second set of creds for ones that were purchased with real money that can't be stolen.
