Had about 51 layers. Took for ever to make the lighting I wanted, and the SFX, without ruining the focal. The render itself had no plasma on the gun, or no fire light on the human weapon. I loved the render because of the helmet, its just so f*cking leet. :D

I couldn't find a super-leet text position or style, so I cut to the basics, and it appears for me at least, it came out alright.

    It's been a bit, but:

I just noticed for some gay ass reason most sigs on this site no matter how good they are look so gross on 1024x768. This school monitor is small and not flat, 1024 res, and like 16 ms refresh, and my sig looks garbage. Same with hoplites...

At home, 1280x1024 20" flatscreen gloss, and Hoplite's, and my sigs look so much better, it pisses me off to know some people commenting on sigs use the same as my school.

And, thanks hoplite, I really have to make a tut on how I made the plasma, it was like, white soft brushes, that were distort > rippled to a certain limit, then duplicated, and then twirled or something. The ones near the end of the rifle were a suprise to me, it came out so leet, I put them there in that way, and it just sparked my interest to make the sig even better.

The guns are sharper because they are more in the foreground, as you noticed, I blured a bit of his body because of the shooting, some moving, and they are a bit background-ish.

But yea, some advice, if you're going to view most good looking sigs, view em with high resolution, etc.

Nice effects and good sig overall. Not a big fan of the colors, border, or text though. (but text and borders are very easy to fix) You should write a tut on that tag :) A lot of people would learn how to make better effects on their tags ^_^

Sweet sig man. I love the effects but I'm not sure whats up with the bubbles. Is that background or part of the plasma?

The focal is way to sharp and choppy, and I don't like the text or it's placement. The effects are good but just not my taste. 51 layers sounds like maybe you did too much to such a small piece, but it's still a nice tag.

The render is a tad over-sharpened IMO. However, I am just drooling over that hawt, hawt, hawt lighting as well as very suiting text. Not bad!

Lol, thanks for all the comments guys. :) To be honest though, I don't like how I over-sharpened the render either, but trust me, it looked way worse when it was a bit more blurry. The text was hard to place. If I put it more towards the plasma it would add too much focus to that area, and if I put it in the top-left, it looked very effortless. So I tried many different spots to see where it would look the best, with some overlapping, and where it is now worked. As for color, making it full white text blended it with the other bright spots on the sig, and full black didn't work right either, it was very hard to choose.

The color of Master Chief is default, and one of the reasons I chose the render. Most people's sigs with Master chief had chief on default color, or maybe they changed the hue a little bit. I did my best to incorperate the color of chief into the background without ruining the depth, and I believe it worked.

Anyways, thanks for the comments guys, class is starting, ayo peace.
