It doesn't look like it cause 'few serious' injuries when you look at as Taser...
    Looks like a killer-weapon -_-

Still, even if it really does cause 'few serious' injuries, I'd hate to get Taser'ed when I'm innocent.

Well, that's the point of a Tazer. It hurts you, and gets your ass down on the group as soon as possible. I'd much rather be Taser'd once, and be down on the ground that way; then to be repeatedly hit with a nightstick, and suffered MANY bruises, and/or broken bones.

Tazer's are efficient, and honestly I think they should give more people the right to use them. They are not deadly, and people suffer minor injuries from them, gg.

By the way, it mentions 211 people have died from a Tazer since 2001.... now... I'd like to see the numbers of deaths caused by guns since 2001...

Give me those statistics, then convince me that Tazers are the more leathal of weapons...

Tasers do not hurt, as in the electrical charge. Yes, I have been shot by one, yes it was by a cop, yes it was planned. He invited me along to his police training course where you have to lock arms with 2 other officers (one on each side) and get shot with a taser, I asked if I could try it, they didn't mind much at all.

It literally has very little sensation, the second your hit, your body is filled with electricity, locking your muscles, and basically making you entirely useless. It hits you and the next second your on the ground, there is little / no flopping around like a dying fish as Hollywood shows you. The only effects from the taser which are negative are when they stop tasering you and your body feels like jello as you try to stand up, you honestly feel as if you have NO bones and absolutely no support, which passes generally in under a minute. Larger people fall harder, the harder you fall, the more likely you are to get hurt. As said in the report, the only people whom have been tasered and had injuries were from falling over when they lose control over their body (which, you can lose control over your poo shoot and urethra too, as a fair warning, they ask all people taking the police test to go to the bathroom beforehand) and cutting themselves on the surrounding area, or hitting their head hard, etc.

Sounds like fun. Also, Dem, you said that you lose control of your body functions. So, if the police walked in on somebody inspecting their testicles for weird bumps and shot them, would it go off prematurely?

I am sure it could, I haven't heard of that, but I am sure if you were ejaculating, or close to, you could. There are those guys who shock their you know whats until they cum, so I guess it would follow the same concept.

I'm not against the use of tasers, generally if you get shocked by one then you deserved it (in most cases). Are we supposed to feel sorry for the criminals, if they don't want to be tasered then they shouldn't be breaking the law. Even in the cases where they have no weapons and are just running I think it's fine to use, I've seen police videos with cases like this.

A guy is running from the cops:

The cop shouts "Stop or I'll shock you!...Stop or I'll shock you!...Stop or I'll shock you!..."

If the guy dosn't want to be tasered he had the chance to stop but he kept doing, the cop tasers him, he collapses to the ground and gets arrested.

I cant think of one example where it would be "unfair" or "cruel" to use within the guidelines of it's use (I'm sure the cops would have some sort of guidelines they'd need to follow for this). It's taking potentially dangerous people off of the streets, people don't run away for no reason (usually), and as dementia said it's not as if you're in excrutiating pain being tortured you just collapse to the ground with a fair bit of pain I assume. I know there's probably been cases where cops have abused it when there was no need to use it but for the most part I think they're good.

I don't think they should be available to anyone besides police, security guards etc. though (or ones with that much power).
