I just figured since Transformers is coming out soon I'd take a look and see how much the Blu-Ray version was going to cost and what did I find? It's exclusive to HD-DVD! This was going to be the first Blu-Ray movie I was going to buy but not anymore! I'm not going to go out and buy a HD-DVD player just for one movie so, I guess I'll have to live with a DVD version. :(

    Does a normal DVD-player play blu-ray or hd-dvd discs?

thats just a BS move by paramount, just think how many people would like it on blu ray who dont own a hd dvd player. I have a ps3 so blu ray for this kind of film is needed, i have 300 on blu ray so why not Transformers??

    Lost sales

I agree completely Pulse, it should be released in ALL formats. Especially this movie, I was really looking forward to it. O_O

    leetsauce makes me giggle.

Blu-Ray is outselling HD almost 3-1 if you count every country they are both in.

I might just end up buying the 360 attachment, because I get 6 free movies with it... Basically paying for the unit itself. And if I do that, it doesn't matter who wins the format wars. I think Blue-Ray has the upper-hand, though. I only have 2 Blue-Ray's Taledaga Nights, which came with the first shipments of the PS3 and The Fifth Element, and I am not looking to get much more, since I don't mind watching things on DVD.
