on that same note, if you played halo3 on the original xbox and the graphics were toned down would it still be a great game? To many it would be. The same applies here. If your computer is subpar you lower the settings and play. I can pretty much guarantee you that it would take less than
$450(probably even less than that too as in 200ish) to upgrade a PC such that it can play crysis on high @ 720p.
That's less than an xbox elite.

at the end of the day a game is good or not based on it's own merit.

you cant make a fanboy to differ on games they usually play. they sorta need to be open-minded to see games which is hot and whats not. considering the success of Halo , game itself has a big advantage in terms of marketing stability

    Because I don't have a PC, so I can't really like it if I can't play it.

so because you can't play a game it sucks?

you can't play halo4 yet, and it'll probably be for another console. Does that mean it sucks?

who [besides some of you] have 400 dollars or even 200 to upgrade a pc not me. if it was going to be on the xbox then i might be able to play it but at this point and time it isn't gonna happen and thats why i choose halo 3 its fun its got good graphics and i already have a system that can handle it

would you then say that a honda civic is better overall as compared to a 200,000 USD maserati then?

what platform something is on, or it's cost shouldn't determine as to whether it's good. That goes towards determining if it's successful as a product, but it doesn't determine the quality of the srticle.

I have Halo 3. And although I don't have a computer good enough for Crysis, I choose Crysis. I've played through Halo, Halo 2, and am currently working on Halo 3 so I'm used to playing games like Halo. For me, playing games with similar style get boring. Crysis looks like a new style of gameplay and that's why I chose it.

FYI my 400$ upgrade figure was to get it playing"pretty damn well"
to get it playable on graphical settings only a bit better than H3, you can get by with a 3 year old midrange computer with a midrange video card form then or a lower end card today. basicalyl athlon x2 3600+ 2GB RAM 7600GT/x1650XT/GeForce 8500. So most systems from back then can get by with around a $100 upgrade and do well.
two year old laptop can play it too(@1920*1200, which is OVER 1080p), and we all know laptops are always around 1 year behind in performance.

    net cafe $3
bus ticket to car dealership $3
bus ticket to retail store to test H3 $3

costs the same amount to test the car as it does to test crysis as it does to play H3.

I'm not saying it sucks, I'm saying I don't personally like it. Its amazing. I just don't like the fact that its not for 360 anymore, and since Halo 3 is, I voted for that.

I don't know what halo 4, if there is one, will be like. Probably gunna suck you're right.

I find the whole halo series to be overrated.

on the other hand, halo4 may or may not be coming and it might be good enough for me to go out and buy it. I am not making judgments about things which I don't know about. I'm somewhat open minded

we could change this thread title to "who's a fanboy" and change the poll options to "OMGWTFBBQ H3 FTW BITCHES don't care if I have it or not it rawks and everyone who disagree sucks" and "lolllolololz silly n00bs nto 1337 enuf4PC Crysis bitch lolololz, I have a PIII system with a GeForce 2 can't wait for the 1337 hax"

and guess what everyone's response would be the same. Mine included.

Crysis is the big hyped up PC game. H3 is the big hyped up console game. Bioshock is also a big hyped up game, but it's cross platform so you won't get people arguing about it.

The sad thing is, on the Bioshock forums people were arguing weather it was better for PC or Xbox, so sad

Exactly, which is why I would love Crysis MORE if it was cross-platform-ized.
