    basically fgor 3d rendering it'll yield a 10-15% performance per clock. And prices will be lower. the $500 CPU in q1 08 will be a 2.83GHz c2q and it'll be roughly 20% faster than the q6700 when it comes to 3d rendering. If you think 20% is a huge deal then go for it. If not, then save yourself $200 or so and drop to a q6600 which is only 10% slower than the q6700 but is almost half the cost.


    Also you should be getting a 3d rendering card.

    and you think a 8500GT will not be bottlenecked by a quadcore? oh boy you have a lot to learn when it comes to computers.
