I guess it can depend. I mean, the teacher may be one of many Muslims that still lives in the nation and believes it to be alright to shame females based on their actions. Then again, if he was Hindu, he mightve been a perverted teacher altogether. Anyways, yes, the man has issues and shouldn't have been handed a teaching credential in the first place. However, life goes on. I just hope the girl doesn't go through life scarred for such an event.
y'all are both ignorant. its got nothing to do with religion. thats as lousy a generalization as the other 1 about all teachers being pedophiles. in fact, its not even an perversion-derived act. social taboos work a lot better here than in the states. just try being non-vegetarian in some areas of India. its got to do with the fact that here in India, physical punishment was only recently banned. (i mean like a couple of weeks ago). Many rural teachers who are used to depending on physical methods of discipline which are now banned; leading to some 'imaginative' alternatives cropping up. growing pains.
This is just an example about how much more people are getting messed up in this world. (s)he is a sick, sick person. Personally, I dont think this should be a bailable offense. I believe he should sit in a jail cell for a few years.
