Your an idiot, this has nothing to do with America, next time read the thread.

Anyways, about the topic at hand. This should have never happened. You can't stop a miscarriage, but the hospital could have at least made some effort to make her comfortable. When it comes to being in an emergency room, which is what I assume they where in. There are certain people, and certain pains that take precedent over others. This should have been one of those cases. This is also one of the reasons that I avoid hospitals like they are the plague. I refuse to even step foot in one unless I absoluately have to. Most doctors and nurses are just in it for the money these days, and dont give two heaps about any of their patients.

They certainly are driven by a priority based hierarchy The response I heard in this case was that unless it was life threating then she wouldn't be given prompt treatment..which she should have.

I'll keep restating that it's not the doctors or nurse's that I blame in this or otherr cases, but the hospital administers along with govt's, both state and federal ,who poorly fund these hospitals forcing the staff to take directives and decisions such as these .

If socialism is so damn great, then how is it that you fail to have achieved full literacy? I read the article. While 'America' and 'Australia' both start and End with the letter 'a' they are in fact a few thousand miles away, and in opposite hemispheres. Also Australia is psuedo-socialist FYI.

so sad like everyone else says you cant stop nature taking its cause... but you can at least try *which they didnt*

    anyway on a side note
i dont think its the fact that nurses / doctors arent interested int here paitents / injurys
its more of a case of being short staffed or the fact that people are being laid off ... nurses / doctors are leaving there jobs due to the fact they are way underpaid .. leaving them short staffed

also wanna talk about wait times LOL check this one out
my father waited 11 years yes 11 YEARS till they found out he had gaustones *sp*

Ouch, But yea that's poor care but I think its because the hospital doesn't have enough help, My moms a nurse and she only worked at the hospital for a few weeks before quitting because they didn't have enough help.

Good post gurly and I agree.

I have family who work in Hospitals and your right, they are understaffed, overworked, poorly paid and have little support . No wonder many become disillusioned and burnt out. By and large they are dedicated to there profession and do there best to meet the demands of an overstretched system .

Sorry to here that your dad had to wait so long to find out something that could be easily determined by a simple medical test taking no more then a day....thats a disgrace

Too many patients for a limited amount of doctors these days, basically everywhere. This, however, is inexcusible.
