Haven't read all the posts, but..... My friend got a DS a few days ago and I played on it today..... very cool.... the graphics are the best I've seen for a handheld (not seen PSP yet though) and the game I played (some Metroid Prime thing) was quite fun.
Im going to get the psp of corse!!! its gonna be waaaaay better than the DS...i mean sony VS nintendo? ....no competition
ive seen the release list for both and the games for ds are alot better, a new crystal chronicles, mario kart and such.
The Nintendo DS is Nintendo's third pillar and therfore it is not officially classed as the successor to the Game Boy Advance (SP) or be related to the Game Boy in anyway, even though it is a handheld console. Even on Cube Europe, they've said on occasion about the news of the GameBoy Advance 2 being shown at E3. So really, it may be in some cases; speculation / rumour. But if you think about it, like Nintendo have said on numerous occasions. The DS is in no way part of the Game Boy brand; so what does that mean? The next GameBoy will arrive. It only takes some goddam common sense to figure that out. And what kind of question is this? -- "Also why are you getting excited that this so called "gameboy 2" is going to have the power of the Gamecube?" - Well think about it this way. Every Sony fan out there, is excited about the PSP; why? Because it has the power capabilities equivalent to that of the Playstation 2. So if the next Game Boy does have technology based from the GameCube hardware and is powerful as the GameCube itself. That's more than enough to be excited about, isn't it? lol, if Nintendo do bring out the GBA 2 and then Sony releases the next PSP. What do you think Nintendo would do? -- Release it's next GameBoy, but of course. In theory, this scenario can go on and on.... My writing is offensive? - Well what do you expect? The idiots here that are posting their opinion based on how the graphics look on the PSP, and saying its better because of that sole reason. You need to write in an offensive manner - To get your point across - It's the only way in certain circumstances. But it could also be that I'm Scottish, so my temper may have a slight part in that; possibly? - I don't know... ----------------------------------------- I also found out that Nintendo have mentioned on many an occasion, that the DS has never been a direct competitor to Sony's PSP.
Personally, the DS looks like it should have 'Fisher Price' Stamped on it. Feels like it to. Very Plasticy.
