I've decided to get off my ass and do something about my pitiful ~200 song music collection  . Anyways, I'm trying to think of all the songs I like and nothing's coming. Help would be greatly appreciated :D

I like music that gets stuck in your head. If it has a catchy tune I probably like it. This includes oldies like Build Me Up Buttercup, new (relatively) ones like The Way I Are, and a lot of stuff in between. I like Muse, JT, Red Hot Chili Peppers, but I rarely have more than a few songs to an arist.

Telling me your fav musics would be great too, as long as it's not all rock or rap or whatever.

    Thanks in advance

    Long time no see.

Bloc Party, and Arctic Monkeys could meet your requirements.

Not sure if you like metalcore at all, but try All That Remains. Especially the CD The Fall of Ideals.

If you just want specific songs I could do that too. =P

Thanks guys, Arctic Monkeys and Billy Talent put me up there :) Anyways, I'm not into metal... It kinda freaks me out  Sounds kinda like noise too. I tried it though, didn't like it sorry :(. I was looking for Colbie Caillat songs but there are no previews on last.fm or through a google search :'(.

Try going through the albums Origin of Symmetry and Absolution for Muse.

I suggest diving into The Cure. Try the albums Disintegration, The Cure, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, and The Head on the Door. All are great albums, especially the first and last ones I told you. They have amazing diversity and I'm sure they can widen your own diversity by listening to them, they did for me.

Also, since you're into Muse, might as well check out the band Blur, definitely their self-titled album. Good stuff there. :)

Since you like Red Hot Chili Peppers, I think you'll like some more rock/jazz/funk bands, that having been said, the band Phish can add on to that style. Check out the album A Picture of Nectar. Their album's are very diverse and a fun listen. :)

Hmmm.... if you want some hard rock/metal, for the first kind, I suggest Soundgarden's Superunknown. Still one of my favorite albums of all time. Then for Metal, check out The Melvin's Houdini. It's a very accessible album, don't worry, there's no idiotic screaming or anything, I'm sure you'll love it.

If you want something very catchy (most of the stuff I've sent you has some catchy stuff in it, but I mean albums that just have the word CATCHY written all over it), check out Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. They're not all that kind of folk catchy or whatever, but the album Howl is definitely folkish great rock. Violent Femme's self-titled album is practically the PINNACLE of this. Seriously, check out both.

If you want rap, and I'm not talking about bling, money, women, crappy rap, I mean legitimate GOOD rap, I suggest Mos Def's Black On Both Sides, Chamillionaire's Ultimate Victory and De La Soul's 3 Feet High and Rising. All good stuff.

That should give a crapload of ++++ to your collection. :)

You're welcome, Frog. :) Oh, and for The Cure, try getting The Head on the Door first. Fewer songs than the rest, a definite good start off. :)
