Ok I have a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814143069 at the moment, and it freezes up in games and nothing seems to fix it, just doesn't like my pc even though it works in my friends computer fine, anyways, needs to be AGP, and around $200 or less. I like playing bioshock and source, so at least able to run those pretty easily.

    Thanks

If you can afford it, you cant go past the 8800GTS (for your budget that is). Simply awesome.

Lol, people, the card has to be AGP, not PCI E.

Hmm, I'd really suggest you upgrading your motherboard, if you are going to get an AGP mid-high end graphics card now, it'd probably'll last you a year at max. And if your motherboard isn't really good and your processor is still old the graphics card performance can't be optimized either.

But if you're really insistent on just upgrading your card, I'd suggest ATI 1950XT, I've heard from a reliable source that they're better than Nvidia, although I own a 8800GTS 320, most value for money card IMO if you're doing a mass upgrade, and good too.

    Whoops, my bad guys =]

Yeah I would also say the X1950 --- would be the best choice.

good eye, i hadn't seen that.

the 512mb versions are faster in some cases. in the bulk of cases they aren't, but there ARE games which benefit. and ~ same cost tool

512MB is only required when you play at higher resolutions.

not as much as most people think. you'de actually be surprised. It comes in handy the most when using large texture sets at high resolutions more so than having output rendering occur at higher resolutions.
