Why are you asking people on a graphics forum questions about blood pressure and how to lower it? If you need medication, ask a doctor. I don't know how it is in the usa, but over here doctors are the people who prescribe the proper medication.

The main things to lower bloodpressure i believe are:
    - reduce the amount of salt in foods and drinks
    - reduce the amount of fat
    - get enough movement (so don't take the car, but walk or take the bike)
    - eat enough vegetables

It's also possible that there is something wrong with your kidneys, if they don't function properly, your bloodpressure will be higher.

Here is a list of all the medication prescribed for high blood pressure (it's a text-file):

Try and see if you have a local health clinic. The wait is going to be hella long, but I believe the care is free.

Chill. Take a walk and listen to some music or have a conversation while testing your pressure.

    Stay away from bread.
    Stay away from salt.
Stay way away from fast foods.
    Eat your veggies......seriously. Preferably steamed.

There are alot of ways to lower your BP. You just need to find the way thats best for you. But don't live everyday as though you're going to die. Just live every day as you see fit. Live it up, and don't run scared. Be a fighter, and things will always look up for you. ;)
