Hey im searching for a new computer for gaming as well as being able to use photoshop i have a budget of $4000 wats good?
With a Budget like that, wow, building your own you could have an excellent machine for possibly $1000(maybe less?) Use NewEgg to find all the stuff you want for cheaper price. Mice - I would recommend the new Wireless MX1000 LASER Mouse, NOT OPTICAL Or the mx510 gaming mouse optical, good enough most popular. Both gaming mic made by logitech. Monitor- Get a good one, with a good response time (ms)(Flat Screen) Speakers- Get a whole set of (6.1) Speakers get a nice total watt for a good price, w/ a auidgy sound card, think that is what its called Ram- get the latest Corsair or Kington 2x 512 or 2x 1 Gig. Video Card - Get the latest, if you want to spend that much on one. Nvidia 6600 Ultra or somethign or the x800 Radeon , i'm not sure on the names lol Get a logitech Headset for sure, bout $30 last a VERY GOOD TIME. Gets through TOUGH abuse. Tip: Get some fans and good cooling.
Build it yourself. SOunds difficult but read the manual and take it slow and you will have a BAD A$$ rig ready for anything.
Take a look at this if you are unsure about how to build a computer. It sounds daunting, but it really isn't that hard. http://www.tomshardware.com/howto/20010115/pcsystem-05.html Wjen building remember to ground yourself by touching the metal part of your case, or the pipe on your radiator before you touch any components, as you could ruin them if you don't. As for the components, with $4000 you can really splash out. You could build yourself a top quality SLI rig if you really wanted. Check out these components that would total $4,000 17" Arianet FastXS TFT Silv - 12ms x 2 Full Tower Case with Hydraulic Door AMD Athlon64 FX55 MSI GeForce 6800Ultra 256MB DDR3 x 2 160GB Seagate Barracuda7 Corsair 512MB XMS3200 DDR SDRAM x 2 550W ATX Power Supply 16x Artec DVDRW Dual Layer Retail Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS (OEM) Sony 1.44MB 3.5" Floppy Drive Creative Inspire 6700 6.1 Speakers Creative HS-300 Headset Microsoft Internet Keyboard M/soft Wireless Intellimouse Leather MSI K8N Neo4 Diamond nForce4 SLi Or you could lose the extra Geforce 6800 Ultra, and get another Gig of RAM and another Dual layer DVD drive for the same price, and buy another graphics card to run in your SLI rig a bit later when you have more money.
That stuff is awesome hazzel execept for these 3 minor things your a gaming guy atroso Get at least a 21 or 19'' monitor. I forgot the name but it is a keyboard that glows in the dark has lights around keys, Pretty Cool As for the mouse, "by thejemreport.com Description: is one of the best mice you can use for just about anything outside of gaming ..." Don't get it. Go for the MX1000 Laser Wireless or the mx510 cord. Sorry for the part flame hazzel.
No problem, I dont really like expensive mice that much, I would rather have aplain one I dont need to charge etc. As for the monitor, I would rather have dual 17" monitors than one big one, maybe thats just me
I'd just go alienware... a lot more to haveing a custom computer than just building it... Alienware even made a guide difference with about 28 steps to building your own, and about 4 or 5 on buying one.
When I read that, I though why need 2 monitors? Please describe I don't get it? I have seen it a lot.
2 is far better than 1 i can assure ya. Basically you run two so you can either do two different things on two diff screens at the same time or do one thing taking up both monitors ie run photoshop across both with your workpiece in one monitor and your palettes in the other. I favour the first option personally and now i've switched to 2 i can't use one on its own anymore, always looking around for waiting for my program to load on the second. Some games support duals but not many, mostly flight sims that do so you can have two seperate displays to run on. I've got a chronically mismatched set o displays (17" TFT and a 19" CRT) but they work loverly together If your gonna run duals i'd recommend a getting ultramon to run with em so you get a second taskbar, seperate screensavers and a load of other random things that windows can do for one monitor but not two
Alienware is a great computer but way OVERPRICED cheaper to get a custom built computer and save some $$$$
