    who cares. Record sales and awards mean absolutely nothing about whose good or not. And the MTV video awards is the last network I would trust to know anything about real music.

    Look at the stuff they paly everyday. Its just music with good beats, simple lyrics, and its just party music. YOu'll rarely see Common, Lupe Fiasco, Saigon, Nas, Raekwon, new Wu-Tang (but their new single from 8 diagrams is a piece of crap), Talib kweli, etc....

    But you cant go 10 minutes without seeing SOuljaBoy, or Akon

    Right on.

    He really shouldn't be caring so much about MTV Video Awards at all. All they play is mainstream bull---- like Akon.

    Didn't really like kanye and this backs up my reason. Never liked him in the beginning he says he went into music because of an accident or something but he's in it for money/fame he just seems ignorant

    He's 'boycotting' MTV. I hope MTV boycotts him.
