First question: is sin, the disobeying of God, an abomination or other like thing in the Muslim faith? Second question: is there a belief that Man is inherently a sinner, from birth, or is there a belief that Man becomes a sinner once he commits his first sin against God? Third question: if God sees people as sinners (either from conception or through their actions), how can He, as a just and righteous God, allow these sinners to go unpunished? Fourth question: I understand that Ramadan is the holiest month of the Muslim year. What I do not understand is how, say, charity during Ramadan is somehow better than charity during the month before. Shouldn't all good deeds be on an equal plane, so to speak?
*waits for the flame war to start* i am a mixed kind of religion. I pretty much pick certain parts of religions from others. like chiristianity and muslum i pull, then the peacefullness and relaxing from buddha.... i like other religions, not only because their unique, but because they draw diversity from us.... I dont mind this talk, until it turns into a flame war. even though muslim is not my religion, i would appreciante if everyone respects for everyones beleifs.... so this dosen't start bad.

1st answer: is the disobeying of god 2nd: we believe that every man is born on a blank slate basically and each man makes his decisions to efftct himself 3rd: god is only righteous to his followers not those who appose him or disobey him 4th: all are equal but since ramadan u are already putting your body through a struggle it takes alot of integrity to go and still make time to go and do good deeds for others.

1: Can you describe the conditions for your fasting? 2: Also, someone once told me that another reason for the fasting is to help understand the suffering of the poor as a sort of reminder. Is this true? 3: A newspaper article i read a while back characterized Islam as seeing itself as the next step on the ladder of religious development preceded by Judaism and later Christianity. 1: when u fast you basically cant eat drink smoke or do any sexual interactions (and by drink that includes water) from sunrise to sundown which this year is about 5:30 to 7:20 2. yes thats one of the many reasons we fast 3. islam itself is a religion and like every other religion it beleives it is correct. Islam doesnt think it is wat it is. its followers have diffently beleifs. Like some believe islam is violent, well FYI its not its actually quite peaceful its those who happen to be muslim that give it a bad name. In the Quran it says that we must repect those of other religions because we all beleive in the same god. So no islam doesn't think its better but it does include most of the other religions and everything in the quran has yet to be prooven inncorrect
Lol, you're right actually. This would be a harsh and might offensive quistion, but how can you be so sure, that all that Mohammed has said is all true? Don't you think, that anyone could say the same? As example, the so called reincarnation of jesus christ.
erm 1 more thing, the Burka, or whatever it's called, has been forbidden in the Netherlands (my country) for a while now, due to safety reasons. What do the muslums think about this? My own opinion, is that the goverment has done a good thing forbidding it. As far as I know was that it has been forbidden because of indentification problems, you would seriously never know if its a male or female behind it as example.
well no one tells u guys thats u cant wear crosses because it might be offend others i beleived that it is a stupid law because most muslim women dont cover their face, just thier hair and u can deffinitly tell their identity no one limits your religion why limit that of others, and your telling me that the only way they protect u is by making hajab illegal? Whats so useless about it? It allows you to understand the struggle that millions of people have to endure everyday, , so you can feel compassion. If you never touched a hot stove, you wouldnt understand what hot meant. If you never starved before, you wouldnt understand what it felt like either. Also, its not only food that you can give up. There are many things you acnn give up, most just choose to abstain from food and water.
Covering there hair isn't the problem, its covering everything besides the eyes what has been forbidden. Wearing crosses is a complete different thing, the covering thingys werent forbidden due offending reasons but due identification reasons. And actually, islam is quite allot in the politics in my country, there was even an attempt on forbidding the qu'ran. I have been asking several questions to learn some more things of the sight of the muslums, so dont go tell me to stay out.
What are the rules of ramadan? I thought you couldnt eat at all for 30 days. Now i hear you can only eat at night?
lol. you'd be dead if you couldnt eat for 30 days. it's actually, for 30 days (approx.) you can't eat or drink from basically sunrise to sundown. but there are other restrictions as well during this period. @Sac: the face doesnt need to be covered. it's only the hair. tbh, i find it peculiar when i see women covering their faces myself. it's not i have anything against them or trying to offend them, but they kinda look like ninja's
