step 3 should be 10x - x = 9x that gets rid of all the junk at the end. then what he has for step 3 should be step 4 do you feel proud you can do simple math?
0.9 repeating is 1 by default (plus that formula which has been worked out for a WHILE now). It's 1 by default because there's no number that can be classified by people small enough to fill in the area between 0.9 repeating and 1.
